Sophie approaches her shoots wanting to transfer the moods and feelings that she associates with the subject into the photographs and to let them become perceptible to the viewer. Memories and dreams are her inspiration, light and shadow her vocabulary. Her imagery is both clear and direct as well as feminine and dreamy. Based in Berlin Sophie frequently spends the winter in Capetown.
